Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (Summer 2027)

We are seeking a motivated Water Resources Engineer-in-Training for a Summer 2027 placement. Responsibilities may include assisting with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling; preparing drainage, stormwater, flood risk, and water management assessments; collecting, reviewing, and analysing field and technical data; supporting site investigations and field inspections; preparing calculations, drawings, technical memoranda, reports, and presentations; and contributing to the design of conveyance systems, storage facilities, erosion and sediment controls, and related infrastructure. You may also assist with permitting materials, technical specifications, quantity estimates, project coordination, and communication with project stakeholders. The role may involve occasional travel to project sites and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Applicants should be pursuing a relevant engineering degree and have a strong interest in water resources engineering. Familiarity with engineering principles, spreadsheets, technical writing, and data analysis is expected. Experience with software such as AutoCAD, GIS applications, hydrologic or hydraulic modelling tools, or programming languages is an asset, but training will be provided. Successful candidates will demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
