Project Engineer - Entry Level Miami-Fort Lauderdale Region 2026 - 2027
We are seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction and engineering projects across the Miami–Fort Lauderdale region during 2026–2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain practical experience while working alongside experienced engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients. The successful candidate will contribute to projects from initial planning through completion, helping ensure that work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with approved specifications.
Responsibilities will include reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documents; assisting with project estimates, budgets, procurement, and subcontractor coordination; tracking progress and preparing regular reports; maintaining accurate project records; supporting site inspections and quality-control activities; documenting field conditions and resolving routine technical issues; and helping coordinate responses to requests for information, submittals, change orders, and punch-list items. The Project Engineer will also attend project meetings, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, monitor compliance with safety and environmental requirements, and help identify potential risks, delays, and cost impacts. Occasional travel between project sites throughout the region may be required.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, or have an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Internship, co-op, or project-based experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or facilities is preferred but not essential. Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, scheduling or project-management software, and reading technical drawings is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety and quality. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work on active job sites may be required.
