WHAT TO EXPECT DAY-TO-DAY:

Develops and maintains existing client relationships. Serves as key contact with major clients. Supports business development efforts, leads the preparation of proposals, serve as lead presenter in presentations to secure new project work. Experienced in developing scope of work, time and manpower estimates. Responsible for developing new business with current and new clients.Individually contributes, formulates and guides solutions to problems of exceptional difficulty and marked importance to the company. Provides technical, design and project management services in support of water infrastructure projects (i.e. water distribution, wastewater collection/pumping, water & wastewater treatment) primarily for local government clients.Capable of conducting critical negotiations and handling controversial issues. Exercises skill in persuading and negotiating or critical issues. Demonstrates good judgement in handling and solving complex technical and people assignments.Extensive knowledge of standard practices within appropriate discipline including design and construction. Individually able to carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development and implementation of new or improved techniques or procedures.Able to successfully lead and supervise a project team on projects of all sizes and levels of complexity. Ensure that all aspects of the project are followed through to completion which includes client meetings, project team communication, monitoring budget and progress and A/R collections.Active in professional organizations, professional development and mentoring of staff. Maintains a network of relationships within the field.

WHAT YOU NEED:

BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with FL PE registration or ability to quickly acquire NC PE through reciprocity.Experience range of 7 to 15 years in wastewater and/or water treatment design and municipal utility infrastructureProficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and knowledgeable of standard engineering design programs.Very good presentation, technical writing and public speaking skills with outstanding experience in major business development efforts.An excellent grasp of the water/wastewater field along with leadership, team building and communication abilities.Must demonstrate an excellent understanding of all aspects of the consulting business especially the finance, IT and human resource functions.Should be actively involved in high profile activities, seeking out opportunities to represent the profession of matters of public or professional importance.Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

My client is a Wastewater treatment company and they are currently hiring for an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Sales Manager on a remote basis.

The Industrial Wastewater Treatment Sales Manager locates, identifies, and performs sales functions for assigned region and markets.Conducting the sales function relating wastewater solutions for industrial customers.

Schedule: FT, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Remote, US

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:

Market the company within the territory to engineering firms, EPCs, and industrial end user processors.Perform sales functions in the assigned markets as required for total industrial wastewater solutions to customers.Qualify RFQs and technical solutions with the regional commercial and technical teams.Commercial closing of new projects/sales orders.Achieve and exceed sales targets for wastewater treatment, anaerobic treatment and resource recovery (biogas treatment / utilization, fertilizer production, etc.) solutions.Work with technical design and sales engineers to propose technical solutions for industrial customers.Present technical solutions and presentations to industry network groups and international conferences.Visit industrial treatment sites to review existing installation and provide technical recommendations for improvement in both performance and optimization.Understand proposed technical offerings and be able to explain to potential customers (plant managers and engineers).Identify and screen potential business partners in the territory.Track ongoing business and commercial results compared to established goals, and execute corrective actions as needed.Participate in planning / implementation strategies to enter into new/key markets.Coordinate commercial and technical activities of Nijhuis Industries and its affiliates in the territory.Assist in the fulfillment of requirements of Request for Quotes (RFQ)s using internal resources to provide needed information.Assist in changing order requests by customers to meet their needs.Ability to evaluate technical data using analytical skills, while providing customer service to new and existing customers.Revise quotes and orders as required to facilitate processing.Identify and proactively search out new business from existing and new clients creating an active sales funnel that.Develop, enable, and coordinate sales strategies, communicating among the sales and engineering teams.Develop a channel of communication amongst an established sales network that maintains contact with the customers and sales channel representatives.Provide a monthly sales activity report and forecast to the head of Sales in the format requested.Respond to Requests for Information (RFI)s from customers.Assist in solving customer's problems.Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or Technical/Scientific field of study. Masters Degree preferredTen (10) plus years in a similar position in the wastewater industry, or technical process design and application engineering of equipment and/or water and wastewater solutions for industrial customers.Anaerobic treatment sales is a plus.

Requirements:

Must be able to travel up to 50% to visit customers and sales channels throughout an assigned region.Good verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeAble to work overtime as required.This description indicates the general nature of the tasks and responsibilities required of positions given this classification.
