We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Manager to lead strategic programmes that improve water resilience across a diverse portfolio of large-scale facilities and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will develop and implement water stewardship strategies covering supply security, conservation, efficiency, wastewater management, reuse, flood risk, drought preparedness and catchment-level resilience. You will work across multiple regions, translating complex hydrological, regulatory and operational considerations into practical, measurable plans that support long-term business and community needs.

You will build strong relationships with internal teams, regulators, utilities, consultants, industry partners, community organisations and local stakeholders. Responsibilities will include assessing water-related risks; managing investigations, modelling and due diligence; setting performance metrics; preparing investment cases; and overseeing delivery of projects and programmes. You will provide technical leadership on water permitting, standards, compliance and reporting, while helping embed consistent approaches across sites and development activities. The role will also involve monitoring emerging legislation, climate impacts and water market developments, and communicating recommendations clearly to senior decision-makers. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in water resources management, hydrology, water infrastructure, environmental consulting, utilities or a related field, together with a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience. You should have a strong understanding of water balance assessments, catchment planning, drought and flood risk, water quality, permitting and sustainability principles. Experience managing complex programmes, budgets and external partners is essential, as is the ability to influence without direct authority and operate effectively in a fast-paced, geographically distributed environment. Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills are required. Professional accreditation or membership of a relevant water, environmental or engineering institution would be advantageous. We value practical problem-solving, sound judgement, curiosity and a commitment to delivering outcomes that strengthen both operational resilience and environmental sustainability.
