We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry Environmental Engineer to join a water services team in 2027. This opportunity is suited to recent graduates or final-year students in environmental engineering, civil engineering, water resources engineering, or a related discipline. You will contribute to projects that support the planning, design, delivery, and improvement of water, wastewater, drainage, and broader environmental infrastructure.

In this role, you will assist with technical assessments, engineering calculations, data analysis, site investigations, and the preparation of reports, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. You may support water and wastewater treatment projects, hydraulic modelling, stormwater management, environmental compliance assessments, asset investigations, and the development of practical solutions for improving water quality and system performance. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project teams, gaining exposure to project planning, risk management, construction support, client communication, and coordination with consultants, contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders. The role may include occasional site visits and fieldwork.

Applicants should have, or be expecting to obtain by 2027, a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. A sound understanding of engineering principles, environmental legislation, water systems, and sustainability is desirable. Familiarity with technical software, spreadsheets, GIS, hydraulic modelling tools, or computer-aided design will be advantageous, although training will be provided. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, initiative, and a willingness to learn. The ability to work collaboratively, manage competing priorities, and approach unfamiliar problems thoughtfully is essential. A commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and professional development is also expected.
