Project Engineer - Entry Level Miami-Fort Lauderdale Region 2026 - 2027
We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Project Engineer to support projects across the Miami–Fort Lauderdale region during 2026–2027. This opportunity is suited to an early-career engineering professional who is eager to gain practical experience in project coordination, field operations, scheduling, documentation, and quality control. The successful candidate will work alongside project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients to help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities will include reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical submittals; assisting with project schedules, cost tracking, procurement, and change documentation; preparing reports, meeting minutes, progress updates, and project correspondence; coordinating information between office and field teams; monitoring work progress and materials; supporting inspections and quality-control activities; helping identify risks, delays, and technical issues; and maintaining accurate project records. The role may involve regular travel between active project sites throughout the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area, with occasional early starts, site walks, and participation in coordination meetings.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in civil, construction, mechanical, electrical, or another relevant engineering discipline, or be completing the degree by the start date. Internship, co-op, field, or project-based experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong organisational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to interpret technical documents and manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, project scheduling tools, computer-aided design software, or construction management platforms is helpful. A proactive approach, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and commitment to workplace safety and professional conduct are essential. Applicants must be authorised to work in the United States and be able to travel locally between project locations as required.
