Site Manager – Fuel Systems Maintenance and Repair, North Atlantic Division
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead fuel systems maintenance and repair activities across the North Atlantic region. The successful candidate will oversee the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of planned and reactive maintenance for aviation, marine and ground-fuel infrastructure, including storage tanks, pumps, pipework, filtration equipment, dispensing systems, loading facilities and associated control systems. This role will involve coordinating personnel, subcontractors, materials and specialist equipment across multiple operational locations, while maintaining high standards of quality, availability and customer service.
Key responsibilities will include planning and scheduling maintenance programmes; managing inspections, testing, fault diagnosis and corrective repairs; reviewing technical documentation and work packs; and ensuring activities are completed in accordance with applicable legislation, engineering standards and contract requirements. You will monitor progress, costs, resources and performance, produce accurate reports, and maintain effective records relating to assets, safety, environmental compliance and work completion. The role will also require close collaboration with clients, technical specialists and site teams, as well as participation in emergency response, risk assessments, audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Regular travel to remote or operational sites should be expected.
Applicants should have substantial experience managing fuel systems, petroleum infrastructure, industrial mechanical services or a closely related engineering environment. A recognised technical or engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience, is required, together with demonstrable knowledge of fuel storage and distribution systems, hazardous-area working, permit-to-work controls and relevant health, safety and environmental requirements. Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, managing budgets and schedules, and delivering work in regulated or defence-related environments would be advantageous. Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to obtain any required security clearance and to work flexibly in challenging conditions. A full driving licence and willingness to travel are also required.
