The role will also require close collaboration with clients, technical specialists and site teams, as well as participation in emergency response, risk assessments, audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Regular travel to remote or operational sites should be expected.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing fuel systems, petroleum infrastructure, industrial mechanical services or a closely related engineering environment. A recognised technical or engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience, is required, together with demonstrable knowledge of fuel storage and distribution systems, hazardous-area working, permit-to-work controls and relevant health, safety and environmental requirements. Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, managing budgets and schedules, and delivering work in regulated or defence-related environments would be advantageous. Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to obtain any required security clearance and to work flexibly in challenging conditions. A full driving licence and willingness to travel are also required.
