The Opportunity
We are supporting a major energy infrastructure project in the recruitment of a Technical Coordinator - Operations Supervision to join during commissioning and early operations.
This position sits close to senior leadership and plays a critical role in overseeing plant operations performance, ensuring that the asset is run in line with technical, contractual, and safety expectations.
Operations and maintenance are delivered by an international O&M contractor, meaning your focus will be on supervision, coordination, and performance oversight, rather than hands-on operation.
You will act as a key interface between the operator, technical partners, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Maintain regular on-site presence during commissioning and operationsMonitor contractor activities and ensure compliance with operational and safety proceduresIdentify, escalate, and track operational deviations or risksSupport corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
O&M Supervision & Performance Management
Review and supervise the performance of the O&M contractorTrack KPIs including plant availability, reliability, and maintenance deliveryEnsure consistency and accuracy of operational dataMonitor contractual commitments and highlight any gaps or risks
Reporting & Data Management
Consolidate and analyse operational and technical dataSupport the development of reporting tools and processesProvide structured reporting to senior stakeholdersEnsure data integrity for performance tracking and commercial purposes
QHSE & Compliance
Support implementation of QHSE systems and processesMonitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental standardsParticipate in audits, inspections, and compliance activitiesTrack HSE indicators and follow up on action plans
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to establishing best practices in operational supervisionSupport the development of governance, reporting, and coordination frameworks
Candidate Profile
Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experienceBackground in power generation, energy, or industrial environmentsUnderstanding of operations & maintenance frameworksExperience in technical coordination, supervision, or performance monitoring is advantageousStrong analytical and reporting capabilitiesHigh awareness of safety, quality, and compliance standardsComfortable working in a multicultural, stakeholder-heavy environmentProficient in standard reporting and MS Office toolsWorking knowledge English required
