You will work closely with project managers, delivery teams, contractors and suppliers to maintain accurate plans and ensure that activities are properly sequenced, resourced and monitored. The successful candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update integrated project schedules using appropriate planning software.
  • Coordinate with project teams to gather progress updates, confirm dependencies and establish realistic timescales.
  • Monitor milestones, critical paths, resource requirements and schedule performance.
  • Identify risks, slippage and emerging conflicts, escalating issues and supporting the development of recovery plans.
  • Prepare clear progress reports, programme updates and schedule analysis for project meetings.
  • Facilitate planning sessions and communicate changes effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of project information, assumptions, constraints and approved schedule changes.
  • Support continuous improvement by reviewing planning processes and promoting consistent scheduling standards.

About you

You will have previous experience in project scheduling, planning or project controls, ideally within a complex delivery, engineering, construction, infrastructure or operational environment. Experience using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software is desirable.

You should be comfortable interpreting project data, producing reports and explaining schedule information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively and remain calm when deadlines or priorities change.

What is offered

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive project environment where your planning expertise will contribute directly to successful delivery. You will receive opportunities for professional development, exposure to varied projects and the chance to build strong relationships across a multidisciplinary team.
