Estimator/Project Manager I

We are seeking an Estimator/Project Manager I to support the successful delivery of projects from initial enquiry through completion. This role is suited to an organised and commercially minded professional who can prepare accurate estimates, coordinate project activities and maintain strong communication with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams. You will help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include reviewing customer requirements, drawings, specifications and project documentation; preparing detailed cost estimates, quotations, scopes of work and schedules; and identifying materials, labour, equipment and subcontractor requirements. You will assist with project planning, procurement, budgeting, change management and progress tracking, while maintaining accurate records and updating stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The role will also involve attending site visits or project meetings as required, monitoring work against agreed scope and programme, supporting the resolution of issues, and assisting with invoicing, close-out documentation and post-project reviews.

Applicants should have experience in estimating, project coordination, construction, engineering, manufacturing or a related technical environment. Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret technical information and produce clear, accurate documentation. You should be confident using Microsoft Office and project or estimating software, with a willingness to learn new systems. Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are required. A practical, customer-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams are important. Relevant qualifications or equivalent industry experience are desirable, as is an understanding of health and safety, quality assurance, contract requirements and cost control.
