TC&IS Ingénieur Système Signalling
We are seeking a Signalling Systems Engineer to contribute to the design, integration, validation and maintenance of railway signalling and train control systems. Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will support projects from the early definition of technical requirements through to commissioning and operational handover. You will help ensure that signalling solutions meet applicable safety, performance, interoperability and quality standards while remaining aligned with project objectives, schedules and budgets.
Your responsibilities will include analysing customer and operational needs, developing system specifications and architectural studies, and producing or reviewing technical documentation. You will coordinate interfaces between signalling subsystems, rolling stock, telecoms, power, infrastructure and control-centre equipment. You will participate in hazard identification, safety assessments, design reviews, configuration management and change control. You will also support factory and site acceptance testing, investigate technical issues, follow corrective actions and contribute to installation, integration and commissioning activities. Regular communication with suppliers, project managers, safety specialists and client representatives will be essential.
You should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in systems engineering, railway engineering, electrical engineering, control systems or a related discipline, with professional experience in railway signalling, train control or complex safety-critical systems. Knowledge of signalling principles, interlocking, automatic train protection, level crossings, route control or traffic management systems is desirable. Experience with requirements management, systems modelling, verification and validation, RAMS or applicable railway standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129 will be valued. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills are required, together with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical teams. Clear written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is professional proficiency in English; French or another European language would be an advantage. Occasional travel to project sites and testing facilities may be required.
