We are seeking a Civil Engineering Analyst to support the planning, design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will involve applying civil engineering principles, analytical techniques and industry standards to help develop practical, resilient and cost-effective solutions across clean water, sewerage, drainage and treatment schemes. You will work with experienced engineers, project managers and technical specialists, contributing to projects from initial assessment and feasibility through to detailed design, construction and completion.
Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications and project documentation; analysing hydraulic, structural and asset data; supporting the assessment of network capacity, flooding risk and asset performance; and assisting with the development of options, cost estimates, programmes and risk registers. You will help interpret survey information and site investigations, identify design constraints, and ensure that proposed solutions comply with relevant legislation, technical standards, health and safety requirements and environmental considerations. The role may also involve attending site visits, liaising with contractors and stakeholders, and contributing to design reviews, progress meetings and technical presentations.
Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, water engineering or a related discipline, together with a sound understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure. Experience with engineering analysis, hydraulic modelling or design software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS or relevant network modelling tools, would be advantageous. You should be confident working with data, producing accurate technical outputs and explaining complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous professional development will be highly valued.
