TC&IS Ingénieur Système Signalling
We are seeking a Signalling Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration, testing and commissioning of advanced railway signalling and train control systems. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, reliable and compliant signalling solutions across the full project lifecycle, from requirements definition through to system acceptance and entry into service.
Your responsibilities will include analysing operational and technical requirements, developing system architectures and specifications, and coordinating interfaces between signalling, control, communications, rolling stock, power and infrastructure disciplines. You will prepare and review technical documentation, including functional requirements, system descriptions, interface control documents, test specifications and safety-related evidence. You will also support hazard identification, risk assessment, safety case development and compliance activities in accordance with applicable railway standards and project procedures.
You will participate in design reviews, factory and site acceptance testing, integration activities, fault investigation and performance validation. The role involves close collaboration with suppliers, project managers, safety engineers, installation teams, customers and other stakeholders, as well as providing technical guidance throughout implementation. You may be required to support site activities, including testing and commissioning, potentially involving travel and flexible working arrangements.
Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in railway engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, control systems or a related discipline, together with experience in railway signalling, train control or a comparable safety-critical environment. Knowledge of signalling principles, interlocking, automatic train protection, train supervision, level crossings or traffic management systems would be advantageous. Experience with systems engineering processes, requirements management, verification and validation, and relevant standards such as CENELEC is highly desirable. Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage priorities, produce clear technical reports and work effectively within international project teams. Professional fluency in English is required; additional language skills would be beneficial.
