We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. This is an opportunity to manage technically challenging schemes while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, internal teams and key stakeholders to establish clear objectives, maintain strong relationships and achieve high standards of quality.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project programmes, budgets, risk registers and delivery plans; coordinating design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities; and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will identify and manage risks, issues, change requests and commercial considerations, taking timely corrective action where required. The role will also involve reviewing technical information, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and environmental requirements, and supporting the preparation of reports and performance updates for senior stakeholders. You will promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure that all work is planned and delivered in accordance with established procedures.

Applicants should have proven project management experience within the water, utilities, civil engineering or related infrastructure sectors, together with a strong understanding of project controls, contract administration and construction delivery. A relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable, alongside experience of managing multidisciplinary teams and complex programmes. You will need excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure. A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. Experience with NEC or other relevant forms of contract, as well as recognised project management qualifications, would be advantageous. This role may require travel to project and client sites, with occasional flexibility to support key delivery phases.
