We are seeking an experienced Consultant, Archaeologist to support a diverse portfolio of archaeological and heritage projects across the planning, development and infrastructure sectors. Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in archaeology, heritage management or a closely related discipline, together with relevant professional experience in consultancy or commercial archaeology. A sound understanding of the planning system, archaeological standards and current heritage guidance is essential. You will need strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisation and attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while working independently and collaboratively. Practical fieldwork experience, report writing expertise and membership of a relevant professional body are desirable. A full driving licence and willingness to travel, work occasional evenings or weekends, and undertake field-based duties may be required. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound professional judgement, a proactive approach and a commitment to safe, inclusive and high-quality archaeological practice.
