One of ewi's trusted collaborators is looking to expand their Air Quality and GHG services by bringing on a Senior Air Quality Specialist to one of their locations in Northern California.

You will be responsible for managing and preparing air quality, greenhouse gas (GHG), and energy technical analyses in support of environmental review documents. You will also contribute to the development of climate action and adaptation plans for a variety of public and private sector clients. This is a great opportunity to grow with a team that takes care of their people so well that they have professionals that's been with them for over 12 to 25 years!

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct and manage technical analyses related to air quality, GHG emissions, and energy impacts for a wide range of projects.Prepare environmental documentation in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).Contribute to the development of climate action and adaptation plans, integrating climate science and policy into planning efforts.Stay current with local, regional, and state air quality regulations and climate policy to inform project strategy.Communicate technical findings clearly through well-written reports, graphics, and client presentations.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, on-time work products.

Qualifications:

5 plus years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on air quality and climate change.A degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.Proven track record of preparing air quality and GHG technical studies for CEQA and NEPA documents.Solid understanding of environmental regulatory frameworks, including Clean Air Act and Green House Gas Emissions regulationsExperience with emissions modeling tools such as CalEEMod, EMFAC, OFFROAD, and AQMD screening tools.Worked in Transportation and Urban Planning projectsStrong analytical, writing, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
