We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer II to support the planning, design, and delivery of water resources projects. This role is suited to an engineer with experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis who can manage technical assignments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to practical, sustainable solutions. The successful candidate will work on projects involving stormwater management, drainage systems, flood risk assessment, watershed planning, water quality, and related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic models; performing water balance, floodplain, channel, culvert, and stormwater analyses; developing design concepts, calculations, technical specifications, reports, and permit documentation; and supporting the preparation of plans, cost estimates, schedules, and construction documents. You will coordinate with internal disciplines, clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress. The role may also involve field inspections, data collection, construction support, technical presentations, and mentoring junior staff. You will be expected to monitor scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk across assigned tasks.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, water resources, or a related engineering discipline and have relevant professional experience in water resources engineering. Professional registration, or progress toward professional licensure, is preferred. Strong knowledge of hydrology, open-channel flow, stormwater design, floodplain regulations, and applicable engineering standards is required. Experience with industry software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, GIS platforms, CAD, or comparable modelling and design tools will be highly valued. Excellent written and verbal communication, sound technical judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. The position may require occasional travel to project sites and the ability to work effectively in both office and field environments.
