We are seeking a RAMS Statistics Analyst to support the delivery of robust reliability, availability, maintainability and safety analysis across complex engineering and operational programmes. You will collect, validate and interpret data from a range of technical, maintenance and operational sources, helping to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. The role will involve producing clear statistical analysis and reports that support engineering decisions, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining RAMS datasets, undertaking statistical modelling and trend analysis, and evaluating asset performance against agreed targets and requirements. You will analyse failure, repair, availability and safety data; investigate anomalies; and provide evidence-based recommendations to technical stakeholders. You may also contribute to reliability predictions, life-cycle assessments, root-cause investigations, risk reviews and the preparation of formal technical documentation. Ensuring data quality, traceability and consistency will be central to the role, as will presenting complex findings in a clear and accessible way.
The successful candidate will have experience in statistical analysis, data interpretation or reliability engineering, ideally within a technically complex, safety-critical or regulated environment. A strong understanding of RAMS principles, statistical methods and data visualisation techniques is required, together with practical experience using tools such as Excel and statistical, database or business intelligence software. Knowledge of reliability metrics, probability distributions, failure analysis and maintenance data would be advantageous. You should be analytical, organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with engineers, project teams and senior stakeholders. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in mathematics, statistics, engineering, data science or a related discipline is desirable.
