Associate, Performance & Risk Analytics

We are seeking an Associate, Performance & Risk Analytics to support the delivery of investment performance, risk analysis and reporting across a range of portfolios and strategies. This role will suit an analytical professional with strong attention to detail, sound numerical judgement and an interest in financial markets. You will work closely with investment, operations, technology and client-facing teams to ensure that performance and risk information is accurate, timely and clearly communicated.

Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing portfolio performance measurement, attribution and exposure analysis; producing regular and ad hoc risk reports; investigating data discrepancies and resolving issues through to completion; and supporting the enhancement of analytical processes, controls and reporting tools. You will assist with the interpretation of performance and risk results, contribute to client and internal reporting, and help maintain robust documentation of methodologies, processes and controls. The role may also involve supporting regulatory, audit and governance requirements, as well as participating in projects to improve data quality, automation and operational efficiency.

Applicants should have experience in performance measurement, investment risk, portfolio analytics, fund accounting or a related financial services discipline. A degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or a similar subject is desirable, along with familiarity with investment products, benchmarks, performance calculations and risk concepts. Strong Excel skills are essential; experience with SQL, Python, VBA, specialist performance or risk systems, and data visualisation tools would be advantageous. You will be expected to communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage competing priorities and demonstrate a methodical approach to problem-solving. Professional qualifications or progress towards a relevant designation would be welcomed, but are not essential.
