Associate Site Manager, Wind
We are seeking an Associate Site Manager, Wind to support the successful delivery of wind energy projects from construction through commissioning and handover. Working alongside the Site Manager and wider project team, you will help coordinate daily site activities, monitor progress against programme and budget, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This is a site-based role, with travel and periods of working away from home likely depending on project requirements.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating contractors and subcontractors, reviewing work plans and method statements, supporting daily briefings and toolbox talks, and maintaining clear communication between site teams, project management, engineering and suppliers. You will assist with tracking construction progress, identifying risks and delays, resolving issues where possible, and escalating matters appropriately. You will also contribute to site reporting, inspection records, quality documentation, commissioning preparation and project handover activities. A strong focus on health, safety and environmental compliance is essential, including helping to promote a positive safety culture and ensuring site activities follow relevant legislation, procedures and permit requirements.
Applicants should have experience in a construction, engineering or renewable energy environment, ideally with exposure to wind farms, power infrastructure, large-scale civil works or mechanical and electrical installation. You will need good organisational and communication skills, the confidence to work with multiple contractors and stakeholders, and the ability to interpret construction drawings, programmes and technical documentation. A practical, proactive approach and strong attention to detail are important, together with the ability to prioritise tasks in a changing site environment. Relevant health and safety training or construction qualifications are desirable, as is experience using project reporting or document control systems. A full driving licence and willingness to work outdoors, at height where required, and across remote project locations are also expected.
