We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the delivery of complex civil engineering projects from concept through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable professional to contribute to the design, coordination and successful delivery of infrastructure, transport, drainage, earthworks and other civil engineering schemes. You will work closely with clients, contractors, consultants and internal teams, providing sound technical advice and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include managing civil engineering projects, preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, calculations, drawings and design documentation, and overseeing the production of high-quality engineering solutions. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design activities, assess risks, monitor progress and support the resolution of technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. The role will also involve reviewing construction proposals, attending site meetings and inspections, liaising with relevant authorities and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with current legislation, industry standards, health and safety requirements and environmental considerations.

You will be a professionally qualified Civil Engineer, ideally with Chartered or near-Chartered status, and have substantial experience in a relevant civil engineering environment. A strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, contract administration and project management is essential, together with proficiency in appropriate engineering design and modelling software. You should be confident leading teams, managing competing priorities and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Commercial awareness, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are important, as is the ability to mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to continuous improvement. A full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites may be required.
