Experienced Civil EIT - Water Resources
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support the planning, design, and delivery of water resources and civil infrastructure projects. This role is suited to a technically capable professional who can contribute across the project lifecycle, from initial investigations and concept development through detailed design, approvals, construction support, and closeout. Projects may include stormwater management systems, flood mitigation works, drainage networks, culverts, channels, water and wastewater infrastructure, site servicing, and municipal or land development improvements.
Responsibilities will include preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and tender documentation. You will assist with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, grading and drainage design, erosion and sediment control planning, utility coordination, and the review of survey, geotechnical, environmental, and other technical information. The successful candidate will coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, technicians, contractors, regulators, municipalities, and clients to resolve design issues and maintain project schedules. Duties may also include conducting site visits, supporting construction administration, reviewing shop drawings and contractor submissions, responding to requests for information, and monitoring work for compliance with approved designs and specifications.
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline, along with eligibility for or current registration as an Engineer-in-Training, is required. Candidates should have relevant experience in water resources, drainage, municipal infrastructure, or land development, supported by a sound understanding of applicable engineering principles, standards, and regulatory requirements. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software, GIS, and Microsoft Office applications will be valued. Strong analytical, written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to project sites may be required.
