Civil Engineer (EIT) - Water/Wastewater

We are seeking a Civil Engineer (EIT) to support the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is suited to an early-career engineer who is developing their technical expertise and is interested in working across municipal, industrial, and environmental projects. You will contribute to project work from initial investigation and concept development through detailed design, construction support, and closeout.

Key responsibilities will include preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and tender documentation for water and wastewater systems. You will assist with the design of pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, reservoirs, drainage systems, and related civil infrastructure. The role will also involve reviewing survey and geotechnical information, assessing existing infrastructure, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, responding to contractor and client enquiries, and supporting site inspections and construction administration. You may also assist with permitting, regulatory submissions, equipment selection, project scheduling, and quality control activities.

Applicants should hold a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and be eligible for, or currently pursuing, Engineer-in-Training registration or an equivalent professional designation. Previous experience with water or wastewater projects, whether gained through employment, internships, or academic work, is preferred. Familiarity with design and drafting software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D, as well as Microsoft Office, is an asset. Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, municipal infrastructure practices, and environmental regulations will be valued. Strong analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage priorities, work collaboratively, and contribute effectively in both office and field environments. A valid driver’s licence and occasional travel to project sites may be required.
