Land Development Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager to lead the planning, design and delivery of residential, commercial or mixed-use development projects from initial feasibility through to completion. This role will oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with all relevant planning, environmental and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include managing project programmes, budgets, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders; coordinating land investigations, surveys, engineering designs, planning applications, utility requirements and construction activities; and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will prepare project reports, risk registers, cost forecasts and recommendations for senior decision-makers, while identifying and resolving issues that may affect project viability or delivery. The role will also involve negotiating with local authorities, consultants, landowners, utility providers and community representatives, as well as ensuring that appropriate governance, quality assurance, health and safety and environmental standards are maintained throughout each project.

The successful candidate will have proven experience managing land development or infrastructure projects, ideally from a developer, consultancy, contractor or public-sector environment. You will possess strong knowledge of the development process, planning and permitting frameworks, construction methods, development appraisals and project controls. A relevant qualification in civil engineering, construction, project management, urban planning, surveying or a related discipline is preferred. Excellent communication, commercial awareness, organisation and negotiation skills are essential, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Professional accreditation or membership of a relevant industry body would be advantageous.
