Project Manager, Land Development
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, Land Development to lead the planning, design and delivery of land development projects from initial feasibility through to construction completion. This role will manage multiple projects, coordinating internal teams, consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes across scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk. Projects may include residential, commercial, industrial or mixed-use developments, depending on experience and business needs.
Key responsibilities include preparing project briefs, development programmes and budgets; overseeing due diligence, feasibility assessments, approvals and statutory processes; appointing and managing consultants; coordinating civil, structural, environmental, planning and surveying inputs; and monitoring design development through to tender and construction. You will review technical documentation, track project milestones, manage variations and risks, provide clear progress reports, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, planning requirements, health and safety standards and quality expectations. The role will also involve supporting procurement, resolving project issues, facilitating stakeholder meetings and maintaining accurate project records and financial controls.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing land development or civil infrastructure projects, ideally from feasibility, planning and design through to delivery. A qualification in project management, engineering, construction, property, planning or a related discipline is preferred, together with strong knowledge of development approvals, consultant coordination, contracts, budgets and construction processes. You will be commercially aware, organised and confident working across competing priorities. Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to build productive relationships and provide practical advice to senior stakeholders. Experience using project management, scheduling and reporting tools will be advantageous. A proactive approach, strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving safe, compliant and high-quality project outcomes are required.
