We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects in the Tampa area from pre-construction through completion. This role will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will manage multiple stakeholders, provide strategic direction to project teams, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal leadership.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and risk registers; coordinating design reviews, permitting, and construction activities; and monitoring progress against approved scope, cost, and timelines. You will review contracts, change orders, payment applications, submittals, and project documentation while identifying and resolving issues before they affect delivery. The role will also involve leading regular project meetings, preparing clear status reports, overseeing quality assurance and safety compliance, and ensuring all work meets applicable codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will mentor project managers, superintendents, and project staff, while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.
Applicants should have significant experience managing commercial, industrial, institutional, or similarly complex construction projects, along with a strong understanding of construction methods, contract administration, cost control, scheduling, and risk management. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related discipline is preferred, with equivalent professional experience considered. Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software, document control systems, and standard productivity tools is expected. Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in the Tampa market and knowledge of local permitting and construction practices are advantageous. Occasional travel to project sites and meetings may be required.
