Civil Engineering Project Manager (PE), Land Development & Public Infrastructure
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager (PE) to lead the planning, design, permitting, and delivery of land development and public infrastructure projects. This role is suited to a licensed Professional Engineer with strong technical expertise, project leadership experience, and a thorough understanding of civil engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and construction practices. The successful candidate will manage projects from initial feasibility through final completion, ensuring that scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and review of site development plans, grading and drainage designs, utility layouts, roadway improvements, stormwater management systems, and related public infrastructure documentation. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, contractors, public agencies, and other stakeholders while managing project schedules, budgets, contracts, and deliverables. The role will also involve reviewing technical calculations and drawings, supporting entitlement and permitting activities, responding to requests for information, attending project meetings, conducting site visits, and providing construction-phase engineering support. You will be expected to identify risks, resolve technical and project issues, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate progress clearly to clients and stakeholders.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline and an active Professional Engineer (PE) licence in the applicable jurisdiction, or the ability to obtain one within an agreed timeframe. Several years of progressive experience managing land development, municipal, transportation, water, wastewater, or other public infrastructure projects is required. Candidates should be proficient with relevant design and project management software, familiar with applicable codes and permitting processes, and confident interpreting engineering plans, specifications, and contracts. Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A valid driver’s licence and occasional travel to project sites may be required.
