We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to support the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will analyse project documentation, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities to develop reliable budgets and tender submissions. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists and subcontractors to ensure that all cost-related assumptions are clearly understood and properly documented.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing invitations to tender, identifying scope requirements, preparing quantity take-offs and pricing labour, materials, equipment and subcontracted work. You will obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, assess risks and exclusions, and contribute to cost plans, forecasts and commercial reports. You will also maintain estimating databases, monitor market conditions and support the development of standard pricing methods and templates. Where required, you will participate in tender clarification meetings, negotiate prices and assist with handover from the estimating phase to project delivery.

To succeed in this position, you should have experience in estimating, quantity surveying, commercial management or a related construction discipline. You are comfortable interpreting technical drawings and contract documents, and have strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills. Experience with estimating software, spreadsheets and digital project management tools is advantageous. We value accuracy, initiative and a structured approach, as well as the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and commercial stakeholders. You should be able to manage several deadlines simultaneously, work effectively as part of a team and take ownership of your estimates from initial review through final submission. Relevant technical education or equivalent practical experience is required, and knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes and industry standards will be considered an advantage.
