Our client who is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to clients They specialise in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.

They have grown to become the leading and most trusted company in our sector and the only dedicated data centre delivery partner in Europe.

They are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.

The Electrical Engineer will work with a team of electrical sub-contractors as they assist with designing, development and electrical installation within a large electrical system in keeping with project programmes

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all works are carried out and managed in accordance with the Winthrop Integrated Management SystemManage, review and coordinate drawings, as requestedAdvise and guide the sub-contracted staff on all technical aspects of the projectPrioritise and allocate the work for the staff on the technical teamEnsure sub-contractor compliance with all site and project requirements, including operational health and safety obligationsApply troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and apply corrective actionsManage document control to ensure all logs are kept up to dateCreate handover packs and test packs for systems

Ensuring that all matters of compliance and governance are identified and adhered to, including:

Health & Safety issues on site and ensuring that all Sub Contractors are working in a safe manner.Review ways of working and where possible implement changes to improve safety.Ensuring housekeeping is kept to a high standard by all Sub Contactors.Complete weekly 'don't walk by' cards.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

Relevant Electrical Qualification essential e.g. Masters or Bachelor's degree in engineeringHNC/ HND qualifications are preferred5+ years of previous experience in a similar role, within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment is essentialData Centre experience is advantageousExcellent organizational, communication and time management skillsProficiency in the use of MS Word & Excel is required.

This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Electrical works, ensuring activities are carried out safely, on programme, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards..

Key Responsibilities:

EWI is supporting a leading global organisation within the Transmission & Distribution sector on a number of long-term substation maintenance projects across Northern Austria.

We are looking to speak with experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers and Mechanical Maintenance Engineers who have a background in high-voltage substations and are available for an upcoming mobilisation.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and corrective maintenance on high-voltage substation equipment.

Perform inspections, testing and fault diagnosis on primary plant.

Support outage planning and execution.

Complete maintenance reports and technical documentation.

Ensure all work is carried out in line with site safety procedures and quality standards.

Work closely with site teams to maintain the reliability and availability of transmission assets.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Experience with one or more of the following is desirable:

GIS or AIS switchgear

Circuit breakers

Disconnectors and earthing switches

Current & Voltage Transformers (CTs & VTs)

Power transformers

Protection & Control interfaces

High-voltage testing and inspections

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Experience with:

GIS mechanical maintenance

Circuit breaker mechanisms

Hydraulic and spring operating mechanisms

Gas handling and leak detection

Mechanical inspections and servicing

Switchgear overhaul and refurbishment

Preventative maintenance programmes

Requirements

Previous experience working on HV substations (110kV-400kV+)

Experience working with OEM equipment such as GE Vernova, Siemens Energy, Hitachi Energy, ABB or similar

Strong understanding of high-voltage maintenance procedures

Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance documentation

Minimum B1 German speaking required

Must be based in Austria
