We are seeking a Robotic Field Engineer / Construction Surveyor to support the delivery of accurate, efficient and technology-led surveying services across a range of construction and infrastructure projects. Working primarily on site, you will use robotic total stations, GNSS equipment, digital levels, 3D scanners and related software to establish control, set out works and verify construction quality. This role will suit a technically minded surveyor who enjoys working in dynamic environments and can communicate confidently with engineers, site managers, contractors and project teams.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing drawings, specifications and digital models; preparing survey data and setting-out information; carrying out site measurements, topographical surveys, as-built surveys and dimensional checks; and setting out foundations, structural elements, drainage, utilities, roads and other construction features. You will operate, calibrate and maintain robotic surveying equipment, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure all measurements are recorded accurately. You will also be expected to process and manage survey data, produce reports and marked-up drawings, identify discrepancies and escalate potential issues before they affect programme, cost or quality. A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures is essential at all times.
Applicants should have proven experience in construction surveying, engineering surveying or a closely related discipline, together with practical experience using robotic total stations and GNSS technology. Familiarity with CAD, survey processing software and machine-control or BIM workflows would be advantageous. You should be able to interpret technical drawings and coordinate systems, work independently while meeting deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in challenging site conditions. A relevant qualification in surveying, civil engineering or geomatics is preferred, along with a valid driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites. In return, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while contributing to varied and high-profile construction projects.
