Superintendent - Electrical

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent – Electrical to lead the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of electrical construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will provide strong field leadership across project works, ensuring activities are completed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, schedules, budgets and applicable legislation. This role will suit a practical, solutions-focused professional who can coordinate multiple work fronts and build effective relationships with project teams, contractors, suppliers and client representatives.

Key responsibilities will include supervising electrical crews and subcontractors; planning daily work activities and allocating labour, plant and materials; reviewing drawings, specifications, method statements and inspection test plans; monitoring progress and productivity; and coordinating interfaces with civil, mechanical, instrumentation and commissioning teams. You will verify that installations meet quality requirements, identify and resolve technical or construction issues, support testing and commissioning, and maintain accurate records, progress reports and handover documentation. The role will also involve participating in toolbox meetings, inspections, audits and risk assessments, while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring all work is performed under approved permits and procedures.

Applicants should hold relevant electrical trade qualifications, with appropriate supervisory or technical certifications and any licences required for the operating environment. Significant experience supervising electrical works on industrial, infrastructure, energy, resources or major construction projects is essential, together with a sound understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, quality assurance and commissioning processes. Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are required, as is the ability to interpret technical documentation and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced site environment. Experience with contractor management, progress tracking and workplace health and safety systems will be highly regarded. The position may require rostered site work, travel and the ability to work in challenging conditions.
