Superintendent - Electrical - Mission Critical - Traveling
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of electrical systems on mission-critical construction projects. This is a traveling position requiring flexibility to work across multiple project locations and extended assignments. The successful candidate will lead field operations, coordinate electrical crews and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and applicable codes.
Responsibilities include planning daily activities, assigning manpower and equipment, reviewing electrical plans and documentation, coordinating with general contractors and other trades, and monitoring progress against project milestones. You will supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover of electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, emergency systems, generators, switchgear, controls, grounding, lighting, and related low-voltage systems. The role also requires identifying potential issues early, supporting material and equipment planning, maintaining accurate field records, and participating in inspections, meetings, and quality-control processes. A strong focus on safety is essential, including enforcing site policies, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring all work is performed in compliance with OSHA or relevant local requirements.
Qualified candidates should have significant experience supervising electrical construction, preferably on data centers, hospitals, industrial facilities, semiconductor plants, or other mission-critical environments. A thorough understanding of electrical construction methods, commissioning requirements, scheduling, and construction documentation is required. Experience using project management, scheduling, and document-control systems is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. An electrical journeyman or master license, technical qualification, or relevant degree is advantageous. The position requires the ability to travel regularly, work varied shifts when necessary, and perform duties in active construction environments, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting.
