We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Superintendent – Southeast to provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement across a designated regional portfolio. This role will be responsible for ensuring high standards of performance, service delivery, compliance, and stakeholder engagement across multiple sites or departments. The successful candidate will promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and excellence while aligning regional activities with broader organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities include leading and supporting managers and operational teams; developing and implementing regional plans, budgets, policies, and performance targets; monitoring results and taking timely corrective action; and ensuring all activities comply with applicable legislation, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal standards. The Superintendent will build effective relationships with employees, community representatives, regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders. They will also oversee resource allocation, identify operational risks, contribute to workforce planning, and provide clear reports, recommendations, and updates to senior leadership. Regular travel throughout the Southeast region may be required.

Applicants should have substantial leadership experience in a complex, multi-site, public-sector, education, infrastructure, industrial, or similarly regulated environment. A relevant degree, professional qualification, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial and operational management skills, sound judgement, excellent communication, and the ability to influence others through change. Experience developing high-performing teams, managing competing priorities, interpreting data, and resolving sensitive issues is essential. Integrity, resilience, cultural awareness, and a commitment to inclusive and safe working practices are also required.
