Construction Manager - Texas
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee commercial and industrial construction projects across Texas. This role will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to maintain clear communication and effective project delivery.
Key responsibilities include reviewing plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and budgets; developing and maintaining project execution plans; coordinating site activities and resolving construction issues; monitoring progress against milestones; and managing changes, claims, and potential risks. You will lead regular site meetings, track procurement and subcontractor performance, review pay applications and change orders, and ensure accurate project documentation. The role will also require strong oversight of health and safety practices, quality control procedures, inspections, commissioning, and closeout activities. Regular travel to active project sites throughout Texas may be required.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, together with substantial experience managing construction projects. A strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, cost control, contracts, building codes, and regulatory requirements is essential. Experience with commercial, industrial, institutional, or large-scale development projects is highly valued. Candidates must demonstrate effective leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with project management, scheduling, estimating, and document-control software is preferred. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project locations are required. Relevant professional certifications, such as OSHA training, PMP, CCM, or similar credentials, are advantageous.
