Construction Manager - Texas

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee commercial and civil construction projects across Texas. This role will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will coordinate field operations, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, inspectors, and internal stakeholders while maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include reviewing plans, specifications, scopes of work, schedules, and contracts; supporting estimating and pre-construction planning; developing project schedules and tracking progress against milestones; coordinating procurement, materials, equipment, and site logistics; and managing daily construction activities. You will monitor costs, approve or validate change orders, review invoices and pay applications, maintain accurate project documentation, and identify and resolve issues that may affect safety, quality, budget, or schedule. The role will also involve conducting site inspections and meetings, enforcing health and safety requirements, coordinating inspections and permits, and ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and contract obligations.

Applicants should have significant construction management experience, preferably with a background in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or related projects. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a comparable discipline is preferred, along with strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, and contract administration. Experience using project management, scheduling, estimating, and document-control software is desirable. Strong leadership, negotiation, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. The position requires regular travel to active job sites throughout Texas and the ability to work effectively in changing conditions, manage competing priorities, and build productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
