We are seeking a Cost Controller to join the financial control team of a large-scale infrastructure project
developed under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in Norway. The project involves the
construction of a major road connection including tunnels, bridges and viaducts, within a technically
complex and environmentally sensitive context.
The role focuses on supporting cost control activities, economic financial analysis and monitoring of work
progress, with particular emphasis on tunnelling, underground works and geotechnical activities. This
position offers strong professional development within a structured international environment, working
closely with Cost & Risk Control, Operations, Engineering and Production teams.
Main Responsibilities
* Support preparation, monitoring and updating of the project budget
* Analyse and control direct and indirect site costs, with focus on tunnelling and underground works
* Monitor physical progress versus economic performance
* Support preparation of periodic cost and project reports
* Analyse variances between planned, current and final costs
* Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Procurement teams to correctly value activities
* Support management of variations, claims and change orders
* Use cost control and project planning tools
* Ensure coordination between cost control, operations and planning functions
* Prepare cost control summary reports for senior management
* Promote continuous improvement of processes, methods and tools
Requirements
* Degree (BSc or MSc) in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering or
similar
* Basic knowledge of applied geotechnics, tunnelling and underground construction
* Interest in project financial control and cost management
* Knowledge of financial and accounting principles
* Proficient use of Excel and cost/financial management software
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Good command of English (additional languages are a plus)
* Availability and motivation to work in an international environment
