We are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex federal programs and projects. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and analyse integrated master schedules across multiple workstreams, ensuring that activities, milestones, dependencies, resources, and deliverables are accurately represented. You will work closely with project managers, technical leads, contract personnel, and stakeholders to establish realistic timelines and provide clear visibility of progress, risks, and emerging issues.
Key responsibilities include building and updating detailed project schedules using recognised scheduling tools; collecting status information from delivery teams; validating schedule logic and progress data; monitoring critical paths, float, baseline performance, and schedule variance; and preparing regular reports, dashboards, and briefings for senior leadership. You will identify potential delays and impacts, conduct what-if and schedule-risk analyses, and recommend practical recovery or mitigation strategies. The role will also involve supporting change control, integrating subcontractor and supplier schedules, maintaining schedule documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable contractual, governance, security, and quality requirements.
Applicants should have substantial experience in project scheduling, program controls, or a related discipline, preferably within federal government, defence, infrastructure, technology, or other highly regulated environments. Strong knowledge of scheduling principles, earned value concepts, dependency management, and schedule risk analysis is required, along with advanced capability in scheduling and reporting software. You will need excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex schedule information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A relevant qualification in project management, engineering, business, or a related field is desirable. Eligibility to obtain or maintain an appropriate government security clearance may be required.
