Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support the successful planning, coordination and delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will help ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical and quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of challenging projects while developing strong relationships with internal teams, clients, contractors and suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, specifications, drawings, schedules and project plans; coordinating design activities and resolving technical queries; monitoring progress against agreed milestones; and supporting the management of project costs, risks, resources and change control. You will attend project meetings, prepare reports and provide clear updates to relevant stakeholders. You will also assist with procurement, contractor management, site activities, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring that all work complies with applicable legislation, industry standards, health and safety requirements and quality procedures. Identifying potential issues early and recommending practical, cost-effective solutions will be an important part of the role.

Applicants should have an engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience, along with previous experience supporting or delivering engineering or construction projects. Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret technical information and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with project management tools, engineering software and relevant regulations would be advantageous. You will be proactive, dependable and comfortable managing competing priorities in a collaborative environment. A commitment to continuous improvement, attention to detail and a professional approach to safety and quality are also essential.
