You will encourage consistent engineering practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and mentor team members to support their professional development.
Applicants should have substantial experience in rail track design and alignment, with a strong understanding of relevant standards, codes, design principles, and construction methodologies. Experience leading technical teams and coordinating complex multidisciplinary projects is essential, together with the ability to review and challenge engineering solutions effectively. Knowledge of track geometry, permanent way design, route development, constructability, and design software is expected. Professional registration or equivalent industry accreditation will be highly regarded. Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organisational skills are required, along with a proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
