Traveling Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a highly organised professional who can manage complex workstreams, coordinate diverse teams and maintain high standards of quality, safety, schedule and cost control. Extensive travel will be required, with assignments varying according to project needs.
Responsibilities include leading projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion; developing and maintaining schedules, budgets, forecasts and resource plans; coordinating employees, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other stakeholders; and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will identify risks, resolve issues and implement corrective actions, while ensuring that work is completed in accordance with approved plans, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and applicable health and safety standards. The role also involves conducting site visits, preparing progress reports, managing change requests, reviewing documentation and supporting project handover and closeout activities. Clear communication with internal and external stakeholders will be essential throughout each project.
Applicants should have proven experience managing projects in a construction, engineering, infrastructure, facilities or similarly fast-paced environment. A relevant qualification in project management, engineering, construction management or a related discipline is preferred, together with strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost management, procurement and risk assessment. Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent credential would be advantageous. You should be confident using project management and reporting software, capable of interpreting technical information and comfortable making decisions under pressure. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, commercial awareness, attention to detail, adaptability and a willingness to travel frequently. A valid driving licence and the ability to work flexible hours may also be required.
