Engineer III, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure
We are seeking an experienced Engineer III, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure to support the planning, design, delivery, and improvement of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will provide technical leadership across projects involving water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, pipelines, storage facilities, collection systems, and related utilities. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders to develop practical, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing technical studies, design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, schedules, and tender documentation. You will assess existing infrastructure, identify operational and capacity improvements, develop options analyses, and support the delivery of projects from concept through construction and commissioning. The role will also involve coordinating design activities, reviewing technical submissions, monitoring project progress, supporting site inspections, resolving construction issues, and ensuring that work complies with applicable standards, health and safety requirements, environmental regulations, and quality procedures. You may also provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and contribute to business development, proposals, and client presentations.
Applicants should hold a degree in civil, environmental, water resources, or a related engineering discipline, together with substantial experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure design and delivery. Professional registration or eligibility for registration is preferred. Strong knowledge of relevant codes, design standards, hydraulic principles, treatment processes, asset management, and construction practices is required. Experience with engineering design and modelling software, document management systems, and project controls will be an advantage. You should have excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Occasional travel to project and construction sites may be required.
