I&C Project Engineer III

We are seeking an experienced I&C Project Engineer III to lead the planning, design, execution, and delivery of instrumentation and controls projects in a complex engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing project scopes, estimates, schedules, technical specifications, and execution plans while ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities; reviewing control system architectures, instrument specifications, loop diagrams, logic narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams, and design calculations; and supporting the selection, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control equipment. You will manage technical deliverables, monitor project progress, identify risks, resolve design issues, and support change control, cost tracking, and schedule management. The role also involves collaborating with project managers, operations, maintenance, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, as well as providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers and participating in design reviews, hazard assessments, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and startup activities.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical, instrumentation, control systems, automation, or a related engineering discipline, together with substantial experience delivering I&C projects in an industrial, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or process environment. Professional registration or relevant certification is desirable. Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, SIS, and process instrumentation systems is required, along with familiarity with engineering software, project controls, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound technical judgement, effective communication, strong organisation, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience working within regulated environments and applying process safety, electrical safety, cybersecurity, and quality management principles will be highly valued.
