We are seeking an Engineer in Training, Water/Wastewater Conveyance, to support the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects involving water distribution, wastewater collection, and related conveyance systems. This entry-level role is suited to a motivated engineering graduate who is keen to develop practical experience while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will contribute to projects from concept and preliminary design through to construction support and completion.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with hydraulic calculations, pipeline alignments, pump station layouts, utility coordination, and the preparation of engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates. You will help collect and evaluate field data, review survey and geotechnical information, complete design checks, and support the development of plans using computer-aided design and modelling software. The role may also involve attending site visits, coordinating with project teams and external stakeholders, responding to technical queries, reviewing contractor submissions, and supporting construction inspections and commissioning activities. You will be expected to maintain accurate project records and contribute to quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or a closely related engineering discipline and be eligible for, or already progressing toward, professional engineering registration. Familiarity with water and wastewater conveyance principles, hydraulics, pipeline design, and relevant engineering standards is desirable. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydraulic modelling tools, GIS, or similar technical software would be advantageous. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with attention to detail, sound organisation, and the ability to work collaboratively. A willingness to learn, take responsibility, and occasionally travel to project sites is required.
