Quality Manager for a Mega Project in Luleå, Northern Sweden

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support the delivery of a major industrial project in Luleå, Northern Sweden. This is a senior role with responsibility for establishing, implementing and maintaining quality standards across the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, construction teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure that all activities comply with contractual requirements, applicable legislation, recognised industry standards and approved project procedures.

Your duties will include developing and maintaining the project Quality Management Plan, inspection and test plans, quality procedures, audit schedules and reporting routines. You will coordinate quality inspections, reviews, audits and verification activities, while monitoring non-conformities, corrective actions, preventive measures and lessons learned. The role will also involve reviewing supplier and contractor quality documentation, supporting technical and commercial teams during procurement, and ensuring that records, certificates, test results and handover documentation are complete, accurate and properly controlled.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in quality management within large-scale construction, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure or industrial projects. A relevant technical or engineering qualification, together with formal training in quality management, auditing or related disciplines, is preferred. You should be confident interpreting specifications, standards and contractual requirements, and experienced in using quality tools, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement methods. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, as is the ability to influence teams and maintain high standards in a demanding project environment. Experience working with international contractors, complex supply chains and multidisciplinary project teams will be highly valued. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish or other Nordic languages is advantageous. The position is based in Luleå and may require regular presence on site, with occasional travel to suppliers, contractors or other project locations.
