Wind Contract Manager

EWI is recruiting for an experienced Contract Manager to support a leading wind energy organisation delivering utility-scale wind farm projects across the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial professional with experience managing complex engineering, construction and service contracts within the renewable energy sector. You will play a key role in protecting commercial interests, ensuring contractual compliance and supporting successful project delivery from mobilisation through to project completion.

The Role

As the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of project contracts, working closely with project managers, procurement, legal, commercial teams and key stakeholders.

You will ensure contractual obligations are met, manage commercial risks and support project teams with contract interpretation, negotiations and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage the administration of construction and service contracts for utility-scale wind projects
Review, negotiate and interpret contractual terms and conditions
Support project teams with contract execution and commercial compliance
Manage contract variations, change orders and amendments
Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies
Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations
Lead commercial discussions with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Support claims management, dispute resolution and contract close-out activities
Ensure contractual documentation is accurate, complete and maintained
Work closely with procurement, legal, project controls and finance teams
Prepare commercial reports, forecasts and risk assessments
Support project governance and internal approval processes
Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements and applicable regulations

What Were Looking For
5+ years of contract management experience
Previous experience within the wind or renewable energy sector
Strong knowledge of construction and engineering contracts
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Law or a related discipline is preferred
