Overview

EWI is supporting a leading wind turbine manufacturer in the search for a Quality Advisor to support the installation and commissioning of utility-scale wind farms across Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all turbine installation activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, customer requirements, OEM standards and applicable quality procedures. The role will focus on inspections, audits, NCR management and site quality assurance throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor wind turbine installation activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and quality standards.Conduct site inspections during mechanical, electrical and commissioning works.Review installation records, quality documentation and completion dossiers.Support implementation of project quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and quality procedures.Raise, investigate and track NCRs through to closure.Coordinate inspections with clients, OEM representatives and third-party inspectors.Support internal and external audits and follow-up corrective actions.Monitor subcontractor quality performance and compliance.Produce quality reports and KPI updates.Assist with final project handover and quality documentation.

Requirements

Engineering, quality management or equivalent technical qualification.Previous experience within wind turbine installation projects.Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.Experience with audits, inspections and NCR management.Strong reporting and communication skills.Fluent English and willingness to work on rotational assignments across Europe.

Quality Manager - Wind Turbine Installation

Overview

EWI is supporting a leading wind turbine manufacturer in the search for a Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across large-scale wind turbine installation projects throughout Europe.

The Quality Manager will lead project quality strategy, manage site quality personnel and ensure customer, contractual and regulatory quality requirements are achieved throughout installation and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain project quality plans, procedures and quality management systems.Lead all QA/QC activities across wind turbine installation and commissioning works.Manage and support Quality Advisors, Inspectors and site quality personnel.Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contractual obligations and OEM standards.Oversee inspections, audits, NCR management and corrective action processes.Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor quality KPIs and provide regular project quality reporting.Coordinate customer audits, inspections and quality reviews.Review subcontractor and supplier quality performance.Ensure quality documentation and handover packages are completed to project requirements.Promote a culture of quality excellence and right-first-time delivery across project teams.

Requirements

Degree-qualified in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality management role within construction, renewable energy or industrial projects.Strong experience within wind turbine installation, commissioning or construction projects.Knowledge of ISO 9001, audits, NCR management and root cause analysis methodologies.Experience managing quality teams and stakeholder interfaces.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.

Role Overview

The Site Quality Manager will lead quality assurance and quality control activities across site execution and equipment manufacturing interfaces.

The role requires close coordination with turbine, generator, and structural component manufacturers to ensure all equipment complies fully with project specifications, technical standards, and contractual requirements prior to delivery and installation.

This is a critical position bridging factory quality processes and site installation performance on complex hydroelectric infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and manage the Project Quality Management System (QMS) on site

Oversee QA/QC activities across civil, structural, and electromechanical scopes

Conduct inspection and acceptance activities for structural and electromechanical components at supplier facilities

Review and validate manufacturer quality documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and inspection records

Perform component inspections and support manufacturers in meeting project quality requirements

Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), audits, factory acceptance tests (FATs), and quality reporting processes

Interface closely with site construction teams, OEMs, suppliers, and the client to ensure alignment between manufacturing quality standards and site installation requirements

Key Requirements

Demonstrated experience as a Site Quality Manager or QA/QC Manager on large hydropower or heavy infrastructure projects

Strong background working directly with hydropower equipment manufacturers (turbines, generators, gates, steel structures, penstocks, or similar)

Solid understanding of manufacturing quality systems, inspection protocols, and acceptance procedures

Experience conducting factory inspections and managing supplier quality programmes

Ability to work full-time on site for the duration of the project
