Electrical Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator
Electrical Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator
An exciting opportunity is available for an organised and motivated Electrical Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of electrical projects from planning through to completion. This role would suit someone with experience in electrical project administration, coordination or site-based delivery who is ready to develop their project management career.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. You will be expected to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records and provide clear communication throughout each project’s lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical installation and construction projects.
- Prepare and maintain project programmes, schedules, trackers and progress reports.
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors and site activities.
- Monitor project costs, variations, purchase orders and invoices, escalating issues where required.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical documentation and requests for information.
- Support project meetings, take minutes and track actions through to completion.
- Maintain project files, risk assessments, method statements and health and safety documentation.
- Assist with commissioning, testing, handover documentation and project close-out.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams.
About you
You will have a sound understanding of electrical projects, ideally gained within a construction, building services, engineering or facilities environment. Previous experience in a project coordinator, assistant project manager, electrical administrator or similar role would be advantageous.
Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, together with the ability to interpret technical information, manage deadlines and resolve issues proactively. You should be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and be comfortable learning project management or document control systems.
A relevant electrical, engineering or project management qualification would be beneficial, although practical experience and a positive, collaborative attitude are equally valued. In return, you will receive the opportunity to broaden your technical and commercial knowledge while progressing within a supportive project delivery environment.
