Project Manager - Multifamily
Project Manager – Multifamily
An experienced Project Manager is sought to lead the successful delivery of multifamily residential developments from inception through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and highly organised professional to manage complex projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure consistently high standards across design, construction, cost, programme and quality.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, local authorities and other project partners, you will take ownership of project delivery and provide clear leadership throughout each stage. You will be expected to anticipate risks, resolve challenges promptly and maintain strong communication with all parties.
Key responsibilities
- Manage multifamily development projects from feasibility and pre-construction through to handover and completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, budgets, procurement strategies and delivery plans.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, consultants and statutory authorities.
- Monitor progress, quality, costs, health and safety, and compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Lead project meetings, prepare clear reports and communicate performance to senior stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, variations and commercial considerations.
- Support tendering, contractor appointment, contract administration and construction delivery.
- Oversee snagging, commissioning, practical completion and the transition to occupation or operation.
About you
You will have proven experience managing residential, multifamily, build-to-rent or large-scale housing projects, ideally across the full development lifecycle. A strong understanding of construction processes, procurement, contract management and development appraisals is essential. Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders and demanding delivery timelines would be highly advantageous.
You should be confident interpreting technical information, financial reports and project documentation, with excellent organisational, negotiation and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently while building effective relationships is essential, as is a proactive approach to managing priorities and delivering results.
Essential criteria
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in project management, construction, property or a related discipline.
- Substantial project management experience within residential development or construction.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, risk management and construction contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional accreditation or chartership is desirable but not essential.
