Lead Superintendent - Multifamily
Lead Superintendent – Multifamily
An experienced Lead Superintendent is required to oversee the construction of high-quality multifamily residential developments from mobilisation through to completion. This is a site-based leadership role, responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations, maintaining a safe and productive working environment, and ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget and specification.
You will lead site teams and subcontractors, manage construction sequencing, and act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to resolving challenges on complex residential schemes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities, including logistics, sequencing, quality control and handover.
- Lead, supervise and coordinate subcontractors, site personnel and suppliers.
- Review drawings, specifications and construction programmes to identify risks, clashes and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor progress against key milestones and provide accurate updates to project leadership.
- Maintain rigorous health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and site procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure workmanship meets approved designs, quality standards and client expectations.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging and final close-out activities.
- Manage site documentation, including daily reports, progress records, permits and quality information.
- Work collaboratively with design, commercial and project management teams to resolve issues promptly.
About you
You will have substantial experience delivering multifamily, residential or similarly complex construction projects, ideally in a lead or senior site management capacity. A strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations, programme control and subcontractor management is essential.
Applicants should demonstrate confident leadership, sound commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, consultants, clients and trade partners. Relevant construction qualifications, site safety certification and experience with project management or field reporting systems would be advantageous.
This role offers the opportunity to lead significant residential developments and make a visible contribution to successful project delivery.
